Hands-on review of Recon-Zeal GPS goggles
My hands-on review of the Recon-Zeal GPS goggles is posted on Gadget Review. This was a fun one to do because the goggles have that living-in-the-future feel to them.
I’m trying to line up some more gear for more hands-on reviews. I’ll link to them here when I do.
Ostoure super-naked motorcycle concept
I have a new article on Gizmag.com about near-futuristic motorcycle concept called the Ostoure. The brainchild of Iranian designer Mohammad Reza Shojaie, the Ostoure aims to combine traditional Persian design elements with state-of-the-art technology.
High-end and consumer UAVs
I recently wrote two articles for Gizmag about UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles). The market for these small, maneuverable drones is really taking off (OK, pun intended). The CyberQuad is a high-end industrial model designed for surveillance in areas that may be too dangerous for humans. For example, the CyberQuad has been used to investigate a burning oil rig.
The other UAV I wrote about is the AR.Drone, a hobbyist gaming drone that you control using your iPhone with augmented reality!
RapidIO picked up my V-Max story
My article on the EMC V-Max system is live on Gizmag
I wrote an article about EMC’s new Symmetrix V-Max system for Gizmag. Although EMC’s V-Max is a cloud computing storage architecture I included a comparison to Yamaha’s V-Max motorcycle, which was a fun bit to write. Gizmag likes to include lots of product pictures, but the EMC V-Max is a rack-based system that looks pretty much like a refrigerator:
Not nearly as cool looking as Yamaha’s V-Max:
